In the pool chemical room of your building the backflow assembly for the pool filler needs replacement due to exposure of the surrounding chemical fumes and rust making the shut off valves on the backflow assembly difficult to operate. Close to this assembly is a 2-inch emergency shut-off valve. Its handle is severely rusted making it hard to operate without applying excessive force. We believe this rusting has been caused by chemical fumes from the chemical exposure as well. To efficiently and safely replace this valve well need to temporarily stop the water supply to that specific part of your building.
