Where our data comes from. Austin Permit Search compiles information from public building-permit records filed with the City of Austin. Contractor profiles are generated automatically from those government records: the company name, trade, and contact details shown on a profile are the details entered on permit filings, and the permit history shown is the public record of permits associated with that name.

Profiles are informational. A profile on this site is a factual index of public records. It is not an endorsement, advertisement, or partnership, and listed businesses are not affiliated with Austin Permit Search. We display this information the same way public directories and permit-records services do.

Corrections. If a profile contains information that does not match the underlying public record — for example, a misspelled name, a wrong phone number, or permits attributed to the wrong business — email us at [email protected] with the profile link and the correction. We’ll review it against the city records and fix verified errors promptly.

Removal requests. If you are the owner of a listed business and want your profile removed from this site, email [email protected] from a company email address (or include documentation showing you represent the business) with the profile link. Verified requests are honored: the profile page is taken down and excluded from search results and our sitemap. Please note that removal applies to the profile page on this site — the underlying permit filings remain public records held by the City of Austin, and individual permit pages continue to show the information recorded on each filing.

Response time. We aim to respond to correction and removal requests within 5 business days.
