Scope of work

Gas Line Replacement Yard This scope of work includes replacing the existing gas line from the gas meter at the street to the home. The gas meter is located approximately 10 feet lower than the elevation of the home and the work area is extremely rocky with numerous cedar trees surrounding the proposed trench path. These site conditions will require additional care and labor during excavation and installation. The new 2 gas line will be installed starting at the existing gas meter and routed up the existing rock ledge. From the rock ledge the new gas line will transition into a new trench that will be excavated approximately 80 feet to the home. The trench will be excavated to a minimum depth of 18 inches as required by applicable plumbing and gas codes. Due to the rocky soil conditions and the presence of cedar trees along the trench route excavation will be performed carefully to minimize disturbance to the surrounding area. Once the trench is prepared the new gas line will be installed and connected to the existing gas piping at the home. Upon completion of the installation the new gas piping will be placed under the required pressure test to verify the system is properly installed and that no gas leaks are present. A city gas inspection will then be scheduled and performed. After the gas inspection has been completed and the installation has passed inspection the trench will be backfilled and the work area will be cleaned. Excavated debris and construction-related debris will be hauled off from the job site. Scope Includes: * Replace existing gas line from the street-side gas meter to the home. * Install approximately 80 feet of new 2 gas line. * Route new gas line up the existing rock ledge from the meter. * Excavate approximately 80 feet of trench at a minimum depth of 18 inches. * Carefully excavate through rocky soil and around existing cedar trees. * Connect new gas line to the existing gas piping at the home. * Pressure test the new gas l
